Terms of Service

General
•  I may decline any commission for any reason, including no reason at all.
•  I may post my work on my social media accounts (such as YouTube and Bandcamp), and use my work as part of my portfolio the moment I have completed my part unless agreed otherwise.
•  You may not post WIPs of my work publicly unless I have explictly stated you can do so. I may do so at any time unless agreed otherwise.
•  I require reference tracks (such as the original song for your cover, or a playlist of inspirations for the track you're looking to have made) before deciding to take on the commission; only giving a genre is not acceptable. If a specific description suffices in my opinion, then reference tracks may not be required.
•  You will be given files in 24-bit, 44.1kHz WAVE format upon completion unless otherwise asked. Stems can be provided on request. If you would like a different bit depth or sample rate, you must let me know before I begin.
•  I must always be credited by the name Neriful and with a link to the homepage of this site. If, for any reason, this must be adjusted, ask.
•  You must never take credit for any of my work no matter what. An extra fee will be applied if you would like to change my credit (not using a link, removing my name, etc.), but no one else may be credited for my work.
•  There may be an extra fee if you wish to use my work for commercial purposes. Please ask.I will not write/mix for songs...
•  That make use of heavily political or offensive theming
•  That make use of slurs (unless we have discussed otherwise)
•  For mixing, that do not have a reliable English translation; for music production, that are not primarily in English, Japanese, Hebrew or Toki Pona. Other languages in Bevel packs may be discussed.Payment
•  I take GBP (£) via PayPal, Ko-Fi or Stripe.
•  Unless there is an extremely strict deadline, I will ask to recieve money after I have finished my part. If you would rather pay in parts, I will usually prefer one part after finishing and the other whenever possible; please contact me for more information.
•  Stamp card balance relates to the amount I have recieved; not the amount that has been sent, nor the price of a service before negotiation. Any processing fees are not included. For more information, see here.
•  If either party cancels the commission before it's complete, I am permitted to use my own work without credit to the commissioner, even if a commercial fee has been paid.
•  If the commissioning party cancels the commission, they are not eligible for a refund.
•  I may adjust prices based on the conditions of your request.
•  I am willing to negotiate most prices within reason. Keep in mind that a negociated price applies only for that single commission, and further transactions might not have similar rates.

A long time ago, a composer inherited a concert hall. Just as his father had before him, he invited orchestras to play at his venue with open arms. He longed to watch someone sing on his father's stage, but even as strings and brass came and went, no vocalists arrived. Wondering why, he asked a concertmaster."You don't know? Every singer who has performed on this very stage has permanently lost their voice just one day after! No one dares to tempt fate again, that much is clear."
Oh, but how the composer wished he could see someone sing up there...!One day, as if hearing his plea, a young woman visited the concert hall. She explained that she had discovered a material from which a candle could be made of, and that candle would then give life to whatever inanimate object of which it is inside; even with this innovation, she had not been able to give her discovery to anyone due to their distrust of her people, and she did not want it to go to waste. Would an automaton be able to lose his voice? the composer wondered.They struck a deal. The woman would build and maintain a singer that uses his candle, and in return the composer would provide him with sustenance and shelter. Thus, Neri—from the Hebrew for 'candle'—was born.As time passed and Neri's success attracted more and more vocalists; at last, the concert hall was live with voices again! But time would continue to pass no matter what, and the composer and the woman grew old. Neri promised them that he'd care of the stage even after their passing, but he quickly lost ownership of the concert hall that the composer so loved.With a heavy heart, the clockwork candle automaton continued sharing his voice he was gifted with the world just as his father would have liked him to. No matter what, he must keep singing.
